Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for EV components, including batteries, motors, controllers, charging systems, wiring harnesses, and structural parts.
- Source raw materials and components based on project requirements, technical specifications, and budget constraints.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Vendor Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Perform regular audits and assessments of supplier capabilities, quality, and delivery performance.
Technical Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams to understand technical needs and translate them into procurement plans.
- Evaluate supplier technical documents and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Cost & Quality Control:
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials with the required quality through proper follow-ups and coordination.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier evaluations.
- Ensure all procurement practices are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical / automobile engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in the EV or automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of EV components, materials, and technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with global supply chains, logistics, and import/export regulations.
- Knowledge of sustainability and green sourcing practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
